Once he feels that he has removed enough there are some methods that he can employ in order to make sure your tooth is saved, and as good as new. The build up - A build up is done if enough of the tooth is missing that no further intervention needs to be done except to rebuild the tooth. Using a cement like material that is durable and long lasting the dentist can recreate the bulk of the tooth. He can shape it like a sculptor to make sure you have the most comfortable and life-like tooth possible. He then makes sure the structure is stable and then hardens the material. The post and core - The tooth root is the area where your blood supply is housed. Then from the post we can create and rebuild the core of the tooth called the "core." The crown - After a tooth is recreated from the root up to the gum line the next step is to create the crown of the tooth.
